Dora

Dora is a delightful 4 year old lady in search of a home that values her zest for life. If you’re on the lookout for a high-energy companion who is always eager for the next adventure, your search ends here! Her glossy blonde fur and cheerful smile make her simply irresistible.

Dora is finally experiencing the joys of life that she missed out on in her early years. Unfortunately, her life did not begin well. She was bought as a breeding dog by a family in Macedonia and had several litters before being considered useless and then given to us. Her previous owners were content to keep her in an outdoor kennel throughout the year, providing little in terms of toys or stimulation. Despite having every reason to distrust humans, Dora is incredibly affectionate and friendly. She loves to cuddle and would be an excellent snuggle buddy on the sofa.

She’s making the most of her freedom from the kennel, dashing through our gardens, darting from one side to the other while carrying a toy. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion in the home to play with during her owner’s absence. Dora is also fine around cats, however we recommend any cats in the home are dog savvy and have experienced living around a big, bouncy dog previously. This is why we have specified she is 'cat tolerant'.

Dora does get excited when she knows she’s going out so some lead training would need to be put in place to avoid her accidentally pulling anyone over. She would love a big field with a long lead so that she can play a game of fetch while still being safely on lead.

Since her enthusiasm can be a bit much we would recommend any children in the home be over 12, she loves children and is always happy to take treats from anyone she meets but she can be on the bouncy side when she is excited.
