Lillie
Lillie was found just before Christmas, with her 7 other siblings and mum. The mum (Evelyn) had been abandoned by her family when they moved to Macedonia, since being on the streets she had obviously mated and was found under some building stairs with 8 newly born puppies. The weather was freezing and she was doing her best to find a safe, quiet spot with some warmth for her babies. Although we had zero funding to cover what was going to be a huge vet bill - a mum and 8 pups medical care & vaccinations etc isn't cheap! We couldn't leave her and the pups, it would be very unlikely they would all survive. We took all puppies and mum into our rescue and Evelyn spent the new few months with her young puppies in the safety of our kennels.
Now at 4 months old, Lillie and her siblings are ready to find their forever adopted homes. They will be ready to travel to the UK in May. We know the mum is a Labrador mix (shown in the photos above), however we don't hand any information on the dad. We do however believe Lillie will be large sized when fully grown - possibly a Labrador/Retriever mix.
Lillie can be a bit shy when she first meets you, but soon warms up to human affection, especially with treats! We are working on her lead walking currently which she is improving at day by day. Please remember Lillie is a young puppy, she will require committed, understanding owners who are prepared for training commitments including toilet training and continuing lead walk practice. Lillie is really engaged with the minimal training we are able to provide (with 7 other pups in this litter alone we cannot offer complete professional training).
Lillie gets on with the other dogs in the rescue kennel - not just her siblings so could happily live with another dog. This is not a requirement for her, she would also be fine as a single pet. She has not been cat tested, but this is possible to arrange at the kennels. We can cat tested her if required for a suitable application.
Lillie has also been great with our rescuerers children and interacts with them daily, she could happily live with children in the home. Due to her size she is likely to grow and excitable nature, we recommend children in the home to be 6+.
