Meet Boni
Boni was once someone’s pet, but sadly she was returned to the public shelter because she was considered too energetic. Having already known what it was like to have a family and a home, suddenly finding herself in a shelter must have been incredibly confusing. We couldn’t leave her there, so of course, we stepped in.
Boni is a 2-year-old Labrador mix with energy, intelligence and a huge amount of love to give.
Personality
Boni is an active, agile girl who would be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys getting out and about. We think she could especially enjoy activities such as agility, where she can put both her energy and her clever mind to good use.
Despite all that enthusiasm, Boni is extremely gentle and affectionate with people. She is lovely with children, doesn’t mouth, and adores human attention. She has a bright, happy spirit and would love nothing more than being part of family life and joining her people on their adventures.
Boni has been good with other dogs and has happily played with them, although we feel she would thrive best as the only dog in her home, where she can have her family’s attention to herself. She has also shown no concerning reactions towards the cats she has encountered at the shelter.
Boni's perfect home
Boni is a strong, confident girl who loves her walks. She does still pull on the lead, but with regular handling she is already making progress. She is bright, responsive and learns quickly, so a family willing to continue her training and give her clear, consistent guidance would be ideal.
Most of all, Boni needs what every dog deserves: a home where she is loved, included and given the chance to belong for good. She has already lost one home. Now she is ready for her second chance — and this time, we hope it will be forever. 🐾
