Meet Capo
Capo is a gorgeous 4–5-year-old Hound mix, weighing around 17kg, with a gentle nature, a magnificent nose and an enormous amount of affection to give. He was found wandering the streets in an extremely poor condition, painfully thin, exhausted and in desperate need of food, water and care. Thankfully, those days are behind him.
Today, Capo is healthy, safe and ready for the part of his story that really matters: finding his family.
Personality
Capo is a gentle, loyal and curious boy who absolutely adores people, he's happiest when he's getting attention and cuddles from his humans and loves being close to the people he trusts. But Capo is a Hound, and that nose has important work to do!
He loves sniffing, searching and investigating the world around him, so walks that give him plenty of opportunities to follow interesting scents will make him very happy, and when food is involved, his sniffing abilities become particularly impressive.
You may think you've hidden the treats. Capo respectfully disagrees. 😄
Capo is wonderfully social with other dogs and enjoys playing with his canine friends, so he could potentially share his home with a compatible resident dog. He has not yet been tested with cats, so we wouldn't want to make assumptions about whether he could live with them.
Capo's perfect home
Capo has a medium activity level and would love a home that gives him a good balance of walks, enrichment, playtime and affection. He doesn't need life to be one enormous adventure; a good sniffy walk, opportunities to use that clever nose, some playtime with friends and plenty of attention from his person sound pretty good to Capo, most of all, he wants companionship.
He's affectionate, people-orientated and ready to exchange life on the streets for the security of knowing exactly where he belongs. Capo was once wandering in search of something as basic as food and water, now he's searching for something rather different.
His person.
And once Capo finds them, we have a feeling they'll have one very loyal little shadow following close behind.
