A loyal, loving girl who is ready to be someone's one and only! ❤️
Lucy is a beautiful, Labrador-sized girl, now over 6 years old, who has been waiting far too long for her chance at a forever home.
Her story began in a village in Macedonia, where she gained an unfair reputation for being aggressive because she would chase bicycles. But Lucy isn't aggressive towards people. Behind that reputation is a loving, affectionate girl who simply needs the right environment and someone willing to give her a chance.
Lucy has so much love to offer, and we would dearly love to see her finally experience the comfort and security of a home of her own.
Personality
Lucy is an incredibly loyal and affectionate girl who forms strong bonds with her people. Once you're part of her world, she'll want to be by your side, sharing in everyday life and enjoying all the attention and affection she has missed out on.
She enjoys playtime and can get along well with dogs she knows and likes, although she can be selective about her canine friendships.
Lucy also likes having her humans' attention to herself! While she can enjoy the company of other dogs, she would be happiest as the only pet in her home, where she won't have to compete for affection.
She's already comfortable walking on a lead and would love the opportunity to enjoy regular walks, companionship and all the little pleasures of family life.
Lucy's Perfect Home
Lucy would thrive in a loving, understanding home where she can be someone's one and only. Although she can enjoy playing with dogs she knows and likes, she would be happiest as the only pet in the household, without other dogs or cats competing for her attention.
She could live with children aged 10 and over who are confident and respectful around dogs. Lucy would particularly suit someone who enjoys having a loyal companion by their side and can offer her plenty of affection, regular walks and the reassurance of a settled routine.
Her ideal family would be patient and understanding, giving her time to adjust to home life while continuing to provide guidance and positive reinforcement, particularly around her tendency to chase bicycles.
More than anything, Lucy needs a home where she can feel safe, loved and secure, and finally enjoy being part of a family.
Lucy has spent so long waiting for someone to see beyond her past and recognise the wonderful companion she could be.
She's affectionate, loyal and full of love, and she deserves the chance to experience a home where she is safe, cherished and truly belongs.
