Meet Luna

Luna has one of those smiles that's almost impossible not to smile back at.

At approximately 6 years old, Luna is a wonderfully sweet, gentle girl who absolutely loves people, and seems to approach life with a permanently happy expression on her face. She's affectionate, easy to be around and happiest when she's somewhere near her humans.

Quite simply, Luna is a little ray of sunshine.

Luna was originally found living on the streets with a problem affecting her eyes, she needed veterinary treatment and, at one point, there was concern that she might lose one of them. Thankfully, her treatment was successful and Luna kept both of her eyes. With that chapter behind her, she's now ready for something much more exciting: a home.

Personality

Luna is sweet, affectionate, gentle and very people-orientated, she loves human company and has a wonderfully happy nature. The people caring for her describe her as an absolute joy to have around, the sort of dog whose enthusiasm for seeing you can't help but brighten your day. She's also shown some lovely manners.

Luna is gentle when taking food, doesn't jump up at people and hasn't shown destructive behaviour while she's been in our care. Of course, moving into a home will bring new routines and experiences, and every rescue dog needs time to settle, but Luna has given us plenty of reasons to think she'll thoroughly enjoy becoming part of family life.

Luna is good with other dogs and could potentially share her home with a friendly, compatible resident dog. She cannot live with cats, so Luna's future home will need to be feline-free.

Luna has shown a particularly gentle nature around people and could be considered for a family with children of any age, subject, as always, to finding the right match and appropriate interactions between children and dogs.

Luna's perfect home

For Luna, the type of building isn't particularly important, a flat, bungalow or house could all potentially work for her, provided her needs for exercise, enrichment and companionship can be met. Because the thing Luna really cares about isn't the size or shape of her home.

It's who's inside it.

She'd love people who will include her in everyday life, give her plenty of affection and enjoy having a sweet, happy companion nearby.

Luna once came to us needing help with her eyes, thankfully, she can still see the world through both of them.

Now we'd really like the next thing she sees to be the people she's been waiting for.
