Meet Ozzy

Eleven puppies were rescued from a dump. Ten found their families. Three years later, Ozzy is still waiting for his, and we really don't understand how.

Ozzy is our gorgeous cheeky chappy , a Labrador-sized mix with a beautiful Shepherd-like coat, soft sun-faded colours and enough personality to keep his future family laughing every single day. He was rescued from a dump alongside his ten siblings when they were tiny puppies. One by one, Ozzy watched them leave for homes of their own, somehow, he was the one left behind.

Now 3 years old, Ozzy has spent his entire life in kennels, he's never had a sofa to claim, a family routine to learn or people he can finally call his own. We think he's waited long enough.

Personality

Ozzy is incredibly intelligent, affectionate and full of energy. He absolutely loves human attention and isn't shy about letting you know when he'd like some! Cuddles are very high on his list of priorities. Chicken may rank even higher.

He's food motivated, clever and very trainable, which gives his future family a fantastic foundation to work with. Ozzy has so much potential and would thrive with people who enjoy training, enrichment, long walks and having an active dog involved in their lives.

He's playful, funny and full of character, very much the kind of dog who will keep you entertained.

Ozzy's perfect home

After spending his whole life in kennels, Ozzy will need patience, consistency and guidance while he learns what living in a home is all about. He would be happiest as the only dog in his home. Ozzy can be around other dogs when he's out on walks, but when it comes to home life, he'd prefer not to share his people or his space.

He also needs a cat-free home.

Ozzy could live with older children aged 15+ and would particularly suit an active household who can give him the exercise, stimulation and involvement he needs. He can sometimes be unsure around men, particularly those who are loud or physically imposing, so his new family will need to understand this and allow him to build trust at his own pace.

In return, they'll get a clever, funny, affectionate boy who has been waiting his entire life for someone to invest all that love and energy in.

Ten of his siblings already know what it feels like to belong to someone. It's time Ozzy found out too.
