Meet Rocko
Rocko is waiting for the family he has never had.
We previously rescued two Husky-cross sisters from heartbreaking conditions. This time, we were finally able to bring their brother to safety too. Rocko and his sisters grew up beside an old truck, exposed to the cold, the heat and a life without the safety and comfort every dog deserves.
Despite such a difficult start, Rocko has remained a gentle, calm and loving young boy. Now he's safe with us, and at just seven months old, his whole life is still ahead of him.
Personality
Rocko is a 7-month-old Husky cross (at time of writing, Sept 2026) with a wonderfully soft and affectionate nature. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, is good with children and is also good with cats. Rocko could happily share his new home with a suitable resident dog, but would be equally content as the only dog with plenty of human companionship.
Like any young dog, Rocko still has lots to learn and will need a family willing to continue his training and help him develop into a happy, well-mannered adult. The good news is that he's a clever boy who is eager to please and already showing really good recall, a fantastic foundation for his new family to build upon.
Rocko's perfect home
After everything Rocko has missed out on, what he needs now is actually very simple: a family of his own.
A home where he'll be safe and protected, somewhere warm and comfortable to sleep, people who will give him patience and guidance, take him on adventures and show him just how good life as a much-loved family dog can be.
Rocko has spent the first seven months of his life without the home he deserved. We'd love the rest of his life to be completely different. He's ready to be loved, spoiled and given every opportunity to flourish into the happy dog he was always meant to be.
