Meet Rocky
A beautiful young Malinois with energy to spare, brains to match and an enormous amount of love to give. Around the shelter, we describe him as our “professional agent of chaos and cuddles” and, of course, our self-appointed Head of Security.
That pretty much sums Rocky up perfectly!
He's the kind of dog people notice immediately, not just because he's incredibly handsome, but because of his confident, joyful personality.
Rocky came into kennels after we were asked to help find him the loving home he deserves. Now he's waiting for someone who understands what a clever, energetic working breed like him needs to thrive.
Personality
Rocky is extremely sociable, intelligent and full of life. He's playful and energetic, with that slightly dramatic streak anyone familiar with a Malinois might recognise! But underneath all that energy is an affectionate boy who loves a cuddle and forms strong bonds with the people who give him their time and attention. He's eager to engage, willing to learn and loves having something to keep that clever brain occupied.
Rocky enjoys long walks, playtime and activities that give him the chance to think as well as exercise. With the right person, he has so much potential and would make an incredibly rewarding companion.
Rocky's perfect home
Rocky is looking for an active home with someone who has experience of the breed, similar working breeds, or appropriate dog training experience. He needs a family who understands that physical exercise is only part of the picture and that this clever boy needs mental stimulation, ongoing training and plenty of opportunities to use his brain too.
He could potentially live with a suitable canine companion, but he doesn't need another dog to be happy and could equally thrive as the only dog in his home. In return, Rocky has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion — ready for adventures, training, cuddles and, naturally, taking his responsibilities as Head of Security very seriously.
Rocky is ready to give someone his whole heart. Now he just needs the right person to give him somewhere to belong.
