Grace

Grace was taken from the streets for the well known spay and neuter campaign, where dogs are taken in to be neutered to avoid the continous breeding on the streets - which results in more stray dogs. These dogs are normally then released to the streets again (where they know and feel most comfortable as many are feral/unadoptable). Grace however, was so gentle and calm - and was so relaxed in the care provided that we were convinced she used to be a pet, having been dumped on the streets by her previous 'owner'. We couldn't see her back there, she is so worthy of a loving home.

Aged approximately 6 and a large sized hound mix - Grace is dreaming of a sofa to curl up on and a garden to roam. She would prefer a home with not too much noise and chaos, she is a very chilled out girl and as much as she loves cuddles - she also enjoys her peace and quiet. She doesn't ask for much and walks beautifully on a lead. Therefore we would recommend a home that is adult only or children aged 13+, although a home with younger children would be fine if the home is quiet and there isn't too much going on!
She isn't too keen on boiserous dogs, but is totally fine around calmer, older dogs. She could happily live in a home with a dog of a similar character to her - given that introductions would be gradual. She has ignored the cats at the shelter, she isn't bothered by them but they have left her alone.
