When Winnie first arrived at our shelter, she was uncertain, carrying the weight of a past that hadn’t given her the chance to truly shine. With time, care, and our stubborn dedication, she began to blossom - and what a transformation it has been.

Today, Winnie is a picture of joy and life. She’s the kind of dog that makes you smile just by being near her - active, playful, and always ready for the next adventure. True to her lab-like nature, she’s happiest when splashing around in water, running free, or soaking up the attention of her favorite humans. She thrives on companionship and will bond deeply with her family, offering loyalty and affection in endless supply.

Because of her boundless energy, Winnie is best suited to a home with children over 10 years old, where she can play without overwhelming the little ones. She has done well with cats at our shelter, though a bit of patience and adjustment may be needed in a home setting. With other dogs, she’s a bundle of enthusiasm- so her best match would be a younger, similarly sized dog who can keep up with her lively spirit.

Winnie has already shown us what a wonderful, spirited girl she is. Now she just needs a family who’s ready to love her as much as she will love them.
