Joy's story

It has been just over 2 years since I adopted Joy from Pawpers in the Ruff and I can honestly say it is one of the best decisions I ever made. I originally saw another dog advertised by Pawpers, but when I enquired the staff were really helpful in suggesting that dog might not be right for a first time dog owner and instead suggested my Joy - my calm, happy, loving dog. I fell in love immediately. 

The video call to assess my home went well and Joy was mine! All throughout her journey to the UK the Pawpers team were great in sending pictures and giving me updates. I have also found the Pawpers facebook group for adopters really helpful as well as I have been able to ask questions there and share key milestones with other dog parents, like the first time Joy came back when she was off lead. 

The Pawpers team have been supportive throughout the whole of the last two years and have been really easy to be in touch with for questions or advice. Joy is an absolute joy and lives up to her name and I couldn’t imagine my world without her. Even though she chews my socks and steals my cheese, her excited face when she sees a squirrel on our works or our sofa cuddles at the end of the day make it all worth it. I am really grateful to Pawpers for bringing us together.
